Eugene Hor - Lead Pastor
Eugene currently leads the English ministry team at GracePoint, which he and his wife Pauline helped plant in 1999. He completed his B.Sc in Computer Science and Philosophy at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and worked as an IT professional before training for pastoral ministry. He completed his B.Th(Hons) at Moore Theological College and his MA(Theol) at Christ College Sydney, and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church of Australia. He also serves on the faculty at Christ College Sydney lecturing in preaching and communication. Eugene is married to Pauline and they have two children - Joshua and Ashleigh.
Thomas Lai - Assistant Pastor
Thomas is married to Mary and they have two children Kurtis and Charis. He worked in architectural drafting for 12 years before heading off to prepare for Christian ministry. He completed the Ministry Apprenticeship Program (MAP) at GracePoint, then studied theology at George Whitefield College in South Africa before finishing his B.Th at Christ College Sydney. Tom serves on the Burwood campus at both morning and evening services. In his free time, you'll find him on his bike cycling with mates and enjoying the great outdoors.
Peter Hughes - Youth Pastor
Peter was born and raised in Sydney's inner west and has been part of GracePoint since 2000. After many years working in the banking industry as a lawyer, Peter left full time work to attend Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC). Having finished his M.Div in 2007, he now serves as the Youth Pastor for Extreme, a youth ministry at GracePoint Lidcombe that meets every Sunday morning at 11.30am. In his free time, Peter enjoys reading, cycling, swimming and hanging around with friends.
Elliot Ku - Associate Pastor
Elliot is married to Sherilyn and currently serves on the Lidcombe campus where he is involved in preaching and pastoring both the morning and evening congregations. Furthermore, he helps to equip the members at GracePoint for ministry through the Centre for Faith and Ministry and is actively involved in training future ministers of the Gospel through the church’s apprenticeship and internship programs. Elliot completed his undergraduate studies in History and Education at UNSW, undertook his theological training at Christ College, and is ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church of Australia. Additionally, Elliot is an Adjunct Lecturer at Christ College while also working on a PhD in Historical and Systematic Theology.
Kamal Weerakoon - Assistant Pastor
Kamal was born in Sri Lanka and migrated to Australia as a teenager with his parents. He has been ministered in churches of Arabic, Chinese, Indian, and Sri Lankan background, as well as in established local churches seeking to reach the diverse communities of today's Sydney. He is undertaking a PhD in multicultural ministry while lecturing at Christ College Presbyterian Theological Centre, Sydney, and the Reformed Theological College in Melbourne.
Dinesh Taunk - Assistant Pastor
Dinesh was born in a Gujarati Hindu family in India. God in His grace opened his eyes to see the truth and was born again in India. He moved to Australia to pursue master’s degree in accounting and in search for seeking God’s will and purpose for His life decided to be involved in full time Ministry. Dinesh has completed B.Th and B.Min from Christ College. He is married to Charmie. Dinesh is involved in Special Interest Ministry at Gracepoint Granville. He will be seeking to reach out to Indian subcontinent people with the Gospel of Jesus
John Le - Ministry Apprentice
John Le is a 2nd year ministry apprentice at GracePoint Presbyterian Church where he is training to be a full-fledged gospel worker who aims to help people grow in their love for the Lord Jesus. He has previously worked in the civil industry as a cost engineer and graduated from the University of New South Wales. He loves fried chicken and spends most of his time reading, writing and being lost in his own imagination.
Jason Yu - Ministry Apprentice
Jason Yu is a 1st ministry apprentice at GracePoint Presbyterian Church where he is hoping to be trained as a minister of the gospel wherever God leads. He has previously graduated from the University of New South Wales and worked in the logistics industry as an export officer. He loves playing and watching sports, listening to music, and taking photos with his camera.
Thomas Lam - Ministry Apprentice
Thomas is a 1st year ministry apprentice at GracePoint Presbyterian Church where is training to be a gospel worker. He previously studied an exercise sport degree and plays ultimate frisbee regularly during the week with his church community. He is passionate about doing life with others whilst growing in a deeper love for God and His Word.
