Amy Leong - Children's Pastor
Amy Leong is from Miri, a town in Eastern Malaysia. She came to Australia to study marketing (at University of Western Australia), and became a Christian while studying. She saw her own need to know Jesus personally, as well as the need for other people to know Him as well. While she did spend a short period of time in a marketing career after university, Amy felt a stronger calling to teach people about Jesus in a full time capacity. She went through Bible college in Perth, and later joined Grace Point Chinese Presbyterian Church (GPCPC) in 2005 as a children's pastor. She gives oversight to the children's work at BCPC and is an advisor to the children's ministry at Gracepoint, so they they can be involved in growing the gospel together. More recently, she has also taken on the responsibility of training leaders in the Cantonese youth zone congregation, so that they can also be involved in the work of sharing the gospel with others, and building up Christians to maturity. Amy strongly believes that it is important to build up people for the work of God's kingdom, especially from a young age.
